The Parkers never expected their lives to change so dramatically. For Sarah and Michael, the joy of welcoming their first child, Noah, was soon met with fear and uncertainty. Doctors had told them that their son would never be able to move, that his body would remain fragile and unresponsive. Sarah had always loved animals, but between hospital visits, sleepless nights, and learning how to care for a child with special needs, adopting a pet seemed out of the question.
