Today, we honor the life and service of Retired K-9 Yaro, a hero who dedicated his years to protecting the community of Cincinnati alongside his devoted handler, Officer Dane Billingsley.

Yaro proudly served with the Cincinnati Police Department as a narcotics detection and tracking K-9. Through countless operations, searches, and late-night calls, he stood fearlessly beside his partner, helping to keep the city safe.

He wasn’t just an officer — he was family. Those who knew him describe Yaro as loyal, intelligent, and unshakably brave. His keen instincts and calm presence made him a valued member of every team he worked with.

Remembering a Legacy of Loyalty 💙

Yaro was #26 for the Foundation — a number that now represents courage, commitment, and unconditional love. After years of service, he retired to live out his days surrounded by care and gratitude, a well-earned rest after a life devoted to duty.

Though he has now crossed the rainbow bridge, his legacy lives on in the hearts of every officer and citizen he helped protect.
