It started like one of those casual conversations that don’t seem important at first. A husband walked into the room, half amused, half curious, carrying a story he had just heard from his friends. He didn’t expect anything serious to come from it. In fact, he probably thought it would just turn into a quick laugh before they both moved on with their day.
He looked at his wife and said, “The guys at the club were talking… they said the mailman has been with every woman on our street except one.” He smirked slightly, clearly expecting her to laugh or brush it off like a ridiculous rumor. It sounded absurd, almost too dramatic to be real. But what happened next wasn’t what he had in mind.
His wife didn’t laugh. She didn’t look shocked either. Instead, she paused for a moment, as if actually thinking about it. That alone made the husband slightly uncomfortable. Then, with a completely calm expression, she replied in a way that instantly changed the mood in the room.
